Dionne And Jake Morley Hayes Wedding

I first met Dionne and Jake back in 2017 where they came to my studio to talk about their wedding photography requirements, their main requirement was to have nice natural and relaxed images to compliment their group photos for their wedding album.

As a Nottingham Wedding Photographer it is always a pleasure to photograph at Morley Hayes, the grounds are lovely and the photos by the clock tower are just fantastic and something I always aim to capture if the weather permits, obviously not forgetting the sunset views up on that gorgeous hill.

They booked me to photograph their September 2019 wedding at Morley Hayes in Nottingham, Dionne’s bridal prep was also at Morley Hayes which is great as there is no wasted time for them to travel from a church.

Their wedding ceremony was indoors and at 1:30pm, I arrived at 10:30am to capture Dionne’s bridal prep and leaving the bridal prep room at 1pm just after we had the big reveal to her Dad who was so proud as she walked outside to greet him on the balcony.

I was with Jake from 1pm capturing a very nervous but apprehensive groom who was eager to see his beautiful bride as she walk’s down the aisle with her Dad by her side, I even managed to capture Jake as his emotions were in overdrive, I love getting moments like this and so do my clients.

The day was so hot it was almost unbearable to be outside in the harsh sunshine, the atmosphere was great and no one complained about the weather, I decided to delay the group photos until after the speeches when the light would not be so harsh and the temperature would have dropped slightly.

Photographing the group photos in the late afternoon sun was the best decision I made as now guests were not looking all hot and sweaty and plus no one will be squinting either.
